KISS 50th Anniversary

⚡️⚡️Cadillac - We Love You ⚡️⚡️

50 years ago, legendary rock band KISS famously came to my town’s high school homecoming! There is a whole bunch of stuff in our town dedicated to this milestone and epic event. I think we have the only KISS monument outside our football stadium, there are plaques throughout town at businesses KISS visited in 1975, and this year, the town rallied together to do amazing KISS-themed events and products. Cadillac is still lined with KISS banners, and storefronts have KISS-themed designs.

I got to design some KISS-themed beer labels for Clam Lake Beer Co., which brewed two beers in honor of the 50th anniversary celebration. I based my design on the old Cadillican newspaper and my original KISSCadillac type design from 2015, the 40th anniversary. It's a fun throwback to 1975, and I'm stoked I got to be a small part of it!

Throughout town, there are KISS Tour Stops, and the Wexford County Historical Society Museum is one of the stops. They have a great KISS exhibit set up where you can view the images, dioramas, 50-year-old newspapers, and more. I’m excited to share that my coaster and sticker designs for Clam Lake made it into the museum. (Y’all, my design is in a museum!) 😅

Anyway, it's been a fun time for Cadillac and probably one of our biggest claims to fame (Besides Chris Craft boats? Dogman?). Lots of events happened, there was a community tailgate, a football game, the team wore special KISS inspired uniforms, there was a drone show right outside my doors, and so much more all weekend.
